Re: Insurance Recommendations?

If anyone else reads this, BeMoto are worth a call. They are genuine bikers and do their upmost to help you. MCE are a nightmare, no one has a clue what the hell is going on. Rang them about 15 times for various reasons when sorting this policy, spoke to 15 different people who were all lo...

Today? I moved it real close to the car so I could fit a Ducati next to it in the garage

Track bodywork

Anyone tried Plastic Works Moto before?

£229 seems reasonable for everything in the pic.

Re: Quick Shifter

This is the one I've got on my VTR
https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/qse/

Bought it through Rob de Hoo on Facebook for £210.
Worth noting the VTR one is NOT plug and play, you have to splice into the ECU a bit. Was using it all day at Oulton recently and it was faultless.

Re: Quick Shifter

I have a HealTech iQSE-2 quick shifter, been meaning to do a write-up for a while as it's been a bit of a mission.

Overall, it works well now. Due to my testing, feedback and subsequent updates, you should have less trouble than I did if you get one :biggrin

Re: Metzeler Roadtec Interact Z8

The Z8's are good. I ran them for a while and they got me sold on Metzelers, but I got a puncture on the rear and wanted to swap to M7RR's. I now have a part-worn Z8 front if anyone wants it. The only wobble I had on the Z8's was at a damp track day. The front had a moment on a tight left-hander, bu...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Please tell me you used loose fill instead of one of those silly rolls. I used the rolls :silent: I was looking at the Acousta-Fil Boa and various loose fill stuff as I thought it would make more sense, but it all became a bit confusing as to how much I'd need. Even though they're oval pipes it fil...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Instead of waiting for a set of carbon Arrow cans to pop up, I decided I would make my own instead, so I re-sleeved and re-packed my current Arrows. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/Devildude/IMG_5727_zpssksd2iic.jpg Sure, they're not 'genuine' carbon Arrows, but it's only the sleeve. I've wan...

Re: Home again

...what do you do to stop the tail fairing snapping its mounting lugs? I mostly worry about it and hope it doesn't happen. The shape of the tail unit isn't ideal for throwovers, they can end up sitting a bit funny and putting the weight in the wrong place, as well as getting a little close to the e...

Re: Home again

Cheers guys, yeah it was fantastic. We tried not to spend too much time on the bike each day, made that mistake before and it was just going from place to place without seeing much at either end. This trip was more about the scenery and the journeys, but we still wanted time to relax each day! And y...
