Re: Old Dyno chart

Dyno Outfit :biggrin https://i.postimg.cc/qv2z4VR9/serveimage.jpg Your going by an old dyno chart. This wont be as accurate as it was years back. I would start with giving the carbs a good clean and more importantly the air filter. When was the last time it was washed and re-oiled. Is it the BMC St...

freeridenick wrote: Thu May 09, 2019 7:26 am I agree with Popkat that lowering the needle may make the lean part worse. Dynojet don't recommend different sizes front and rear, iirc, and I found better results with Keihin.
Thanks Ill look for some Keihin mains.

tony.mon wrote: Thu May 09, 2019 12:58 am It's a lot easier if you just stick to one make, eg either Keihin or Dynojet.
Ok, Ill try to cop a few new mains from the same brand so I cant mix them up if theyre the same.

Re: Old Dyno chart

Well I dont have a shop close to where I live that has experience with tuning or that is Honda racing tuning pro or something like that, and I dont have the time or the money to spend hours or days to drive up and down to tune it to pe...

popkat wrote: Tue May 07, 2019 9:47 pm Don't get them mixed up, I think the nozzles are different for each carb.
You mean the emulsion tube?
Everything is backed separately for each carb.

Re: Old Dyno chart

Thanks guys. The advice the mechanic gave me after the run was to lower the needle, 1 slot up. What youre saying corresponds. Ive lowered the needle now, once Ive cleaned everything Ill put it back and see what happens. Could changing the filter back to OEM en lowering the needle be a bett...

Re: Bike running to lean

You can remove the carbs from the stays without any issues or bits flying away. The hardest bit is removing the cotter pins from the connecting linkage. Also I would personally just replace the pilot jet and not even bother trying to clean them. It might just be the picture but it ...

Re: Bike running to lean

So took my jets out and these have some crystals on them. Also the needle is dirty with some white smudge on it. Now Im thinking should I ultrasone the carbs or just give it a good clean with some carb cleaner. If I want to ultrasone I need to take the carbs out of the brackets and I dont know how e...

Old Dyno chart

Hi guys, thought lets post my old dyno chart from a few years ago. Cause my bike isnt running like it should and now Ive removed the carbs for a clean, maybe its also the right time to tweak the carb a little When I did the dyno run, I just had installed the DJ stage-1 kit with BMC filter. After the...

Re: Bike running to lean

Any tips on how to remove the carb easily from the rubbers? loosen clamps fully and wiggle from side to side. That's left to right side of bike. Also note that carbs are mounted at a slight angle and there's also a small round hole in the plastic cowl above the right rad to insert your screwdriver ...
