So, once the valve covers were off, I simply put a cable tie through each camshaft sprocket and looped it...

Did I spot Rossi and Marquez in there?
Funny thing is...when there's a crash in the vids, loads of bystanders rush to help. In the UK...they'd let you bleed out! But unbelievable chaos....

Re: Finally bought a 'classic'
70,s 2 strokes were all great. I had the original RD200 then the YDS7 before i got the Coffin shaped tank 250 then 400. Then came the LC,s and they were much faster but i preferred the old 400. I had the RD500 ( still wish i had that) then finally a KH750 triple. That seized the middle pot at about...

These things fetch serious money...even unrestored! Not sure if I'm right....but according to this piece there were only around 3,000 made?

Re: Finally bought a 'classic'
Thanks folks...yep, I got lucky and my patience paid off. It's very original and unrestored, but in lovely condition. Only makeover is the professional respray in the original Candy Halibut Blue...it's a very high end job and looks fab. I've attached some of the detail pics to show how clean it is.....

Finally bought a 'classic'
Well, I eventually plumped for this...may be not everyone's cup of tea or idea of a 'classic' but it reminds me of my youth...at the time I had a 1970 Honda 250 and thought the Kawis were wicked. It's a 1975 250 SIC....4,500 miles from new.... Probably won't keep it for long, but fancied something t...

Clutch slave leak
Got a very slight weep on the first gasket of the clutch slave. Haven't pulled it apart yet...from what I can see on the service manual, the gasket (first one in, from the out side - left slide - of the slave) just needs replacing... My logic is that if the piston seal was leaking, the leak would be...
