Re: My list of bikes
My Victory was built really well, and had loads of grunt....but shocking brakes (both ends), dodgy handling (feet forward, skinny front tire).
I liked the look of it...but I looked liked a knob on it....sold it after 12 months and bought the BMWR1100S....that's another story....

Re: My list of bikes
Great thread! Started at 14 in 1969... James Captain trail bike...thought it was fast and had my worst off in a field trying to ride it like a grass tracker. Bantam engine off roader...fancy front forks (no oil in them...didn't know) and rigid back end BSA C15 one mile push to bump start then 10 mil...

Re: FOUND A SHIPPING SOLUTION
Yep, we're moving back after 11 years in Canada...time to try something new...we're moving up to Whitley Bay in March. Pro's and con's to any country that you live in, but the 5 month winters really are naff. Originally we're from West Yorkshire (don't hold that against me!) but fancied the coast fo...

Re: FOUND A SHIPPING SOLUTION
Got the wife to thank for the idea! Apparently Honda used to use heavier gauge stronger angle iron shipping crates and collect them back, but with freight costs the way they are, they now send the bikes in disposable crates. The one in the pic with my bike in it was used to ship a VTX700, but the wh...

FOUND A SHIPPING SOLUTION
So I need to ship my bike from Toronto to Newcastle. Contacted my local Honda Dealer and asked if they could use a crate that they get the new bikes in and mod it to take my bike. They collected the bike from my home, put it in the crate and delivered it back...all in for 180 pounds... Now just got ...

Re: Bike stand for shipping in container - ideas?
Thanks guys....I did consider selling the bike and buying another VTR in UK once we arrive...but it took me ages to find a real clean bike, with great service history and good options. It's a lovely bike! It's been minus 40 here last week so folks are just not buying right now...and we come back in ...

Bike stand for shipping in container - ideas?
I'm shipping my bike in a container from Canada to UK in March. Wondering how to ship without it falling over during the voyage. Thought about a parking stand like the one below...any ideas or thoughts?

Aftermarket indicators
I'll be needing to put different indicators on my VTR once I get it to the UK from Canada. Can anyone point me towards and decent aftermarket indicators please?
