Re: cold starting issues

Final Update (hopefully):

So since putting on the new starter motor on saturday morning, it's been cold and wet on every attempt and hasn't failed to start first time. Not to jinx it but we seem to have hit the nail on the head!!

Re: (Video) Delkevic 10.5" Stumpies

i like the sound, but take the baffles out!!! FAR to loud to even be discreet with how keen the fuzz can be around this way sometimes. Risking being stopped and collecting a fine as it is. No baffles would just be asking to be stopped and get fined. Absolutely pathetic though... Ferrari's, Aston's,...

Re: (Video) Delkevic 10.5" Stumpies

Yeah, a mobile mic is never going to do it a true justice... You can get the idea through a little snip like this but you can't 'feel' the noise which is half the enjoyment! Reggy5, I like the colour scheme... Almost mk2 TDM-esque. Surely a head turner?! Delkevic appear to offer decent quality at a ...

(Video) Delkevic 10.5" Stumpies

A half decent snip of the VTR with a set of Delkevic cans and link pipes fitted. The cans DO have the supplied baffles installed... Excuse my sniffles (cold) and understand that the bike is a working progress (so not a show winner...). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAUJHpjhUxQ&feature=youtu.be ...

Handy tip - will grease it up a bit later!

p.s. Will be putting a thread up with a youtube link for the cans shortly (as per request, sort of!). Will put it in the bike chat section.

Re: cold starting issues

So... Initial impression is good. Changed the starter this morning, took a max of ten minutes to do and not having started the bike in a week and with it being exposed to the ever so friendly elements that most of us have been blessed with, I was expecting a little bit of agro getting it started, BU...

Re: Rear brake, why is it there?

I'm rear biased but since buying the bike, I've had to depend on the front a lot more because the rear on this is absolutely pants.

What would be interesting to know is if anyone knows someone or is that person who has upgraded the caliper and what they have upgraded it with?!!

Re: cold starting issues

Weather permits, I'll get the starter motor done tomorrow (assuming it turns up today as promised) and maybe put a video up on youtube. I noticed when I was looking that there wasn't any decent quality clips up - people either in their garage or sticking their phone down the exhaust... but even then...

Re: Scammer in Swansea. updated with address

About 6 miles from me. Know the area fairly well and have looked at the row of houses a few times and would never guess any of them were flats (at least by what maps is showing as 179!). Next time I'm around that way, I'll make a point at maybe taking a brief detour and check the numbers out to be s...

Re: cold starting issues

UPDATE: Having initially thought the cold start issues were solved by using a decent battery and being quite pleased with myself, like a spoiled child, the bike has proved me wrong. So... I have wracked my brains over and over, looked at the manual and wiring diagram tirelessly without being able t...

Have you google mapped it?
What area is it in (i.e. Gorseinon, Gendros, Fforestfach etc etc)?

Name and shame if the guy hasn't supplied the goods yet. I'll drop the name into a couple of conversations as someone known as a con man!

Re: Scammer in Swansea

I am from and live in Swansea and would like to point out that stuff like that in NOT commonly known to happen around here but I have heard stories of people being ripped off with similar scans from other areas. Taking that into consideration, if it was a scam, it may well be likely the person isn't...

I had a go at making some out of fibreglass  http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=28350&hilit=dr+honda+copy (:-}) Did see the post... Looked time consuming. But here's a thought... Take an inner AND outer mould and maybe buy some pre-preg carbon fibre so you can press make...
