Re: Motogp Assen tomorrow

Cop that MM.... Master and Apprentice, Master still has some lessons. Getting sick of MM using other riders as braking and cornering assistance, that will learn him ;) Had Rossi been knocked over in the last corner, i'm sure Race Control would have awarded MM with some kind of penalty. Next time he ...

Re: Motogp Assen tomorrow

I didn't expect that from Rossi : I did... He knew he had to work on FP and Qualifying, and thats exactly what he did. What i didn't see coming was Lorenzo having a bit of a struggle. But not only did he put it on Pole, its a new circuit lap record, beating Casey Stoners previous record from 2012 b...

Re: Not a VTR, but she's mine

At least you can keep riding when the road says stop for a VTR.
I'd have one, i just wouldn't tell anyone ;)

Hope you get many years of smiles out of it and it takes where the VTR couldn't ;)
Can you turn the ABS off on your bike?

Re: Nice, quiet motorbikles

I've had my Storm heard at 4 kilometers out to sea by a mate in his fishing boat. I was not riding away or towards him, but parallel to him. The sound sure can carry from our bikes, i see it ALL the time on our rides, 5 to 7 Grand coming up on a car, sound bouncing off the rock walls. I'd say 70% he...

Re: Nice, quiet motorbikles

Yep, i hate to say it, but on long rides (sometimes short ones) that noise of the Storm can give me the shits. But as pointed out, it has made my presence known before i arrive :) I am a fan of the early morning ride, when no one is on the road, like, no one! There is a small part of me that really ...

Re: Calling Electrician's (household 230V question).

Sirch, Its just a bog standard RCD/MCB. As for the way it came wired, you cane ignore it if you like. Essentially, you have a Protected Side and a Non-Protected Side, hence why you need the 2 Neutral bars! I'm not sure what UK Wiring Rules are, but here in Oz, its clear cut. Circuit Breakers and RCD...

Re: New Guy from Australia

Looks great, just as you'd expect for a bike thats only done 20k :) Can we ask what you pick it up for? Price i mean. In all honesty, i think the FIrestorm from 2003 to 2005 represents the best bang for buck road bike Australia has to offer. There simply isn't another bike, that can do what the Stor...

Re: Best sounding bikes

Sorry, why is No.1 there?? Surely that remains the place for the Honda 250cc 6cyl by a big margin! Nice to see our cousin in their too :) I'd have included a Honda CB1000 6cyl in that list too. Still, plenty missing off that list in my view https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DKjwK7mehw https://www.you...

Re: New Guy from Australia

I can live with or without the shim.

My bike has it, my friends storm doesn't, we ride nose to tail on the Ocean Road, and he has much faster tip in speeds than me.
Mostly because he is nuts though :)
Mildura... Where do you ride for twistys up there?
