Re: engine swap & Flat bar conversion

sounds a daft question but how did you line up the bars to know where to fit the risers? and how close to the edge of the yoke where you? defo like this look, where the risers just standard ones or renthal? sorry so many questions but its my first big bike (started late) so I'm totally green....

Re: TOP YOKE

I converted a std top yoke by adding £20 bar risers [did need a fair bit of machining as I started with the wrong type of clamps] and £25 Renthals. The standard clutch line still works and the aftermarket braided brake hoses I already had on the bike [std goodridge VTR kit] also worked. Need to add...

Re: TOP YOKE

Been thinking about this since I got the the bike, was even considering a change of bikes to a fazer just for the extra comfort. Where did you get your yoke from and what was the total cost Inc bars.

No not really touch anything like that, could water be the cause? I did jet wash it at the weekend.

Re: HELP, done a partial bafflectomy and now it backfires

no, I left the cans on while I drilled the holes.

I did clean the chain and sprockets and removed the front cover to get at the front sprocket, was tough getting back on due to the clutch slave cover. had to bleed the clutch afterwards. but cant see that being the cause. :(
