Re: Ohlins Shock
OK so I was recently in Hamburg and used my card to pay for the Hotel. I got 1.40 exchange rate making that shock £760.
How boring.

Re: new shock on the block.
They make stuff for loads of applications, classic cars, bikes etc. I think they sell a shock for the K series BMW bikes (bricks) and I know they supply one for the Yamaha TR1 which is my other bike. From what I've heard they perform very well, look very well engineered and not too expensive either....

Ohlins Shock
With the Euro so weak at the moment you can get a good deal on quite a lot of stuff in Europe including Ohlins :D http://www.ebay.de/itm/MONO-AMMORTIZZATORE-OHLINS-HONDA-VTR-1000F-97-06-/161036824848?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_101&hash=item257e8af110 Not sure what exchange rate you would get with a car...

Re: Fuel tank hinge bush
Wiped the blood off everything, reconnected all the hoses, went and found some rubber hose and a rubber washer to re-create the lost one and there it was sitting on a shelf next to the bike! 8O My daughter was helping me lift the tank off and must have picked it up and put it there..(I had asked her...

Fuel tank hinge bush
Just added a 6mm spacer to my rear shock and had to take the tank off to do so. Managed to sever my hand when pulling one of the two big pipes from the outlet. Question is, when I went to put the tank back on there was only one rubber bush inserted in the tank pivot, I didn't notice when taking it o...

Front Left Infill Panel For Indicators
Does anyone have a left (or Pair) of Front Fairing Infill panels? ...the ones held on with 3 screws that the indicators fit into.
like the ones here..http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 39&t=36191
Cheeky but preferably in Middy Blue if you have a huge selection!

Re: MT-09 (yamaha)
Lovely little bike but I think you would get tired on it and the wind blast would get on your nerves after a while. Honda would not go too far wrong if they bought out a streetfighter/semi naked V Twin, maybe using the VTR engine with injection for emissions. I was looking at the Yamaha Bulldog the ...

Re: Knees don't like the Storm
I fitted fazer angled clamps to a vtr standard top yolk. These clamps let the bars run behind the fork tops. I used renthal ultra low bars. I wasn't happy with the look so sold bits. It needed a fairing trim, longer hoses & maybe throttle cable. Still in standard trim now. Used codura suit for ...

Re: Knees don't like the Storm
So I have been going mental and spending way too much time looking over old threads etc on how to make the Firestorm more comfortable or whether to get a different bike that is already comfortable. I have used this site an awful lot, how accurate it is I don't know but it's a very good reference poi...
