when to adjust the cct's

hey all

just wondering how to tell when the manual cct's need to be adjusted. is it a noise thing? or just after certain miles?

what do i look for to know they are set right?

road up to applecross does it for me. The last bit up the alpine road is a bit hairy when you meet things coming the other way but well worth it!

job done. got a genuine one from Cupar Motorcycles. also put in some seal treatment as seems to be burning a wee bit of oil. :x

On a serious note, It might be the tone, not the volume that is the problem. They may need re-packing. v loud on the overrun In what way. Is it popping and spitting. (:-}) on a shut throttle it bangs and pops quite a lot but not on reduced throttle so probably normal for unbaffled. Is repacking eas...

My choice would be a genuine or pattern standard filter. You got to ask yourself what is the purpose of an Oil filter and what do they do to them to make them higher flowing. The Hi Flo filter I don't think is a higher flowing filter, it's just a pattern part, same as the Hi Flo air filters. A bit ...

oil filter

hey all

gonna do an oil n filter change and was wondering if it is worth getting a k&N over a hiflo or genuine one.

k&n about £11 posted hiflo about £8 genuine £13 but not checked local dealer yet

your thoughts are welcome
