You can also pick one up from eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crankcase-Cover-Engine-Plug-For-Honda-VTR1000F-RVT1000R-98-99-04-CBR600F-87-90-/142005136522?hash=item21102a6c8a They are made out of aluminum and not Swiss cheese like the OEM. Since I switched to the aftermarket piece, I haven't had it si...

Re: My Dream project...

My only hang up is the black pin stripping on the tank. It seems to not follow the tank's lines. But, that may just be the picture angle skewing things. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic job on the whole bike. I love it! :D How did you make that chain gaurd? Laser cut or waterjet? How was that 90 degr...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Carl, I wanted to say your MCCT guide is the best out there. I love it, because it has pictures and videos. I have used your guide on two of my engines and personally about six members Superhawks in the USA. I just wanted to say thank you for spending the time to make the guide. I have posted it mor...

Re: FT mark on flywheel not perfectly aligned

Over many miles, the cam chain stretches slightly, allowing for a slight misalignment in the cams. This is normal.

Re: Hugger options

I found that a hugger off a Triumph Daytona 955i worked. You just needed to make a simple bracket. Here's a couple pictures of the hugger. It hasn't been on the bike in a while, so it's kind of dirty. Also a couple pictures of what it looks like on my VTR. http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd410/t...

Well that is odd. I even ran the F.I.L. mod with these inline filters and never had fuel starvation. Did you have the filter inside the tank as well?

Re: HONDA PARTS - TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE??!!

I use Partzilla all the time and can say that yes they do ship genuine Honda bits every time  I agree. I just rebuilt my entire Superhawk from the ground up. Every seal, bearing and gasket was replaced. Everything came from Partzilla. Great prices and genuine Honda parts. The stuff shows u...

Re: How to change or clean the fuel filter?

The cheaper alternative is to remove and throw away the standard tank filter then fit a cheap online filter in each fuel line. I found the previous owner of my bike removed the filter inside the tank, so I installed some see through Mr. Gasket fuel filters. I really like that you can see inside the...
