Re: Climate Change Conspiracy or Not
I am unsure about the machines, although I am sure they heve been attempted. I do believe in the hoax of global warming and using it to lead the gullible population to give up many of their rights. It is also a way for big government to implement laws on countries they dont govern in the name of sav...

Its a 91* 2 blade switch so I had to ground it. This search was annoying enuff that I didnt care. Took the bike out to try to heat it up. Ama...

Re: Aftermarket radiators
No, actually, the hole is a bit smaller. I coulda welded some threads from a hollow banjo bolt on the old switch but didnt want to travel that road. I search every auto parts store in person and online. Found one that would fit (its M14 x 1.5). And has a good temp range (@ 97C). Gonna pick it up tom...

Re: 2nd rider dies in IOM - RIP
I saw this on tv last night. With all due respect I thought of how blessed he was to go like that. I beleive he was like 65 yrs old if its what I saw on the coverage. I lost a step brother and several friends on the racetrack so have a little perspective but man, tald about going with your boots on!...

Aftermarket radiators
So after riding almost every day through the longest NYC winter ever (down to 0*F) my bike is very cruddy. I have been having cooling issues since I spend more time in traffic that open road. So I bought some aftermarket Chinese radiators. Kind of a tricky fit but nearly twice as thick. They cool wa...

So did the damage happen before or after you did the fiddling? It sounds like it was not installed correctly. Do you have pics to help?

For sure heat, or more heat. Then maybe googone but sounds like it maybe hard & crusty. Brake cleaner would get it off but the paint too.

Re: Tyre traction in this hot weather
Just a note on pressure. Extreme low pressure will eventually cause carcass deflection and some heat, but on the racetrack I consistently run 32F 28R and go way faster than any street ride. Have also done 3hr endurance races at those pressures so unless you are way lower than that, too low is not th...

Ok these are the mods so far. Been upwards of 110*F(43.3C) here so good to have mesh. I will likely do more stuff but got my logo and honda and wings on. Its much straighter and nicer than the pics show. Happy with the results. http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t399/smokinjoe73/meshmods13019.jpg

Re: The loud pipes argument
The ONLY people who say loud pipes don't save lives have never had their life saved by them. It is easy to argue against something that A) annoys you B) you know nothing about After 280,000 year round New York City miles (rain, snow, 4am etc). I can difinitively say that they do save you. So does ri...

Re: Ideas on how to stop sliding forwards?
Wow, lots of humor(ahem) on this forum. Ok so you need tank grips and a triboseat brand seat cover. OR...... Use shelf liner and staple it under the seat like the seat cover. http://triboseat.com/ The triboseat is way tougher than shelf liner (which looks similar) but I just replace my rider portion...

I use the motionpro tool. $23 and works well but of course you need to take out the carbs at some point to slot the fuel screws (here in the US anyway)

Re: Noisy front wheel bearing ???
That doesnt sound like front bearings. Have you checked the rears? Also, if you suspect you have bad bearings, going 80 is a real bad idea. The bearings are what secure axle to wheel. If they fail at that speed it would lead to great unhappiness. I would look for any marks from the errant chain, I h...
