Thanks for that, at least I know it can be done now,I think I'll use an m8 stainless bolt with a lock nut though if I can i think it'll look a bit neater, if I pull it off ok I'll try and put some pictures on( I haven't managed to get that to work yet)

cct's....auto to manual?

Sorry to bring up the dreaded cct debate again, but has anybody on here converted the factory auto tensioner to a manual type, I've got a spare one so I'm going to have a go

I use engine flush at work but mainly on diesels that have either poor service history or a problem that might justify its use like a failed emissions test where it can make a difference. But being as the engine is out it wouldn't work anyway as you need to run the engine for about 10 mins on a fast...
