yes your right but you are being picky lol a little research is a dangerous thing I did a lot of research and they did race cabin in orange in japan in the suzuka 8 hours and some of the rounds of the Japanese races, :lol: as a lot of teams in the past used to change the colours of the bike but not...

oil cooler connector question
anyone seen a way to fit a braided cable to the oil cooler is their a mod to change the bolt on connectors we have on the vtr to a banjo type or screw in type , I have a very nice oil cooler off a special which as different fitting and would like to fit it ,

my next move is fitting the fireblade brace already cut of and ready to fit just got to leave a section open so the r1's reservoir doesn't touch
looked at some other shocks 1000rr but the bottle sticks out and would need the battery box removing altogether R6 may be ok

can i just ask, the zx9 shock mount was it not long enuf before you cut it to reach the storms frame once you had the shock mounted at the bottom? yes it did fit but it was to high lifted the rear to much . i just used the nut on the zx9 shock mount to spread the load on the underneath of the frame...

forgot to say I did need to cut the battery box a little bit the bit that goes along the bottom of the box battery still fits the box no problem it just touched the bottle on the shock . I also added the 8mm spacer to the overhaul height of the shock mount when I measured and cut it to keep the same...

mmmm that looks like an interesting solution to getting a shock in from another bike? whats it ride like or have you tried it yet? ive not been for a long ride yet but much better feel as the vrt one was either to soft or to hard and with the R1 shock you can adjust the rebound and compression :D

Right I had the idea to change the rear shock on the vtr .I had a R1 shock sitting about that's almost new its off a 99 R1 . The main problem was the shock length so I measured from a static point on the frame with a point on the swing arm and found the differences with both shocks fitted . I had a ...

thanks for that noticed the thread after I add posted this I have a blade swing arm that I cut the bracket off just need a caliper bracket then
