Re: CCT (Cam Chain Tensioner) Fail Safe Mod. (aka Stopper Mo

Hi all, Sorry for sounding thick, but I don't get what you mean by "turn the worm in the rear CCT clockwise 1/4 of a turn and lock off". I've made the key and it fits down the slot in the CCT, but I'm worried about getting it wrong...! Can you clarify exactly what you mean by 'lock off'? M...

Re: Cat D?

like feck would I want to ride anything that had been in that sorta accident though, would be playing on my mind lol It all depends on the extent of the damage and where it is, ie stress points and stuff. If it was just just a slightly buckled side of the frame, cross memeber, away from any welds o...

Re: Notchy front brake

Forget my last post! I've just been out to the bike and it does it when the bike is not moving. You can hear and feel the 'notchyness' coming from the MC.... Looks like I should take it off and strip it....?

Re: Notchy front brake

Thanks for the reply guys. I will check all those things when I get a mo. Braking performance doesn't seem affected, so I'm hoping the seals are OK, but we'll see.

Notchy front brake

'Evenin all! My front brake lever has started to feel a bit 'notchy' in the first stage of the pull (i.e. when taking up the slack). Its not all the time and it doesn't feel too drastic, but it isn't as smooth as it should be..... Where would you start, changing/bleeding the system?

Re: Cat D?

I suppose it also depends on who classified it as cat D (did he inspect it properly). I would want to see the damage before it was repaired to be sure, although that would be difficult. Does he have any pictures before it was repaired? Even if it's the right money, I'd still want to know more about ...

Re: bloody typical

The temp has dropped today :( We just going to have to bite the bullet and do what we can, wrap up warm and crack on, as long as it's not raining. I got to whip your carbs off and put those standard needles in that you got. Investigate why the steering lock is not working. What else is left to do b...

Re: The worst bike you have owned.

No I can top you all! I bought a 2003 Hongdou. It was only 2 years old, I paid about 800quid for it. What a piece of DUNG. I was riding down the road and the clutch cable snapped, followed by the drive chain! The fella I got it off said it was a copy of a Honda XL125.... I wouldn't p1ss on another ...
