Fuel Consumption RIDDLE?

Hi Guys, Bought my VTR 1000 F3 model last September, done stopper mod and always refuelled when light came on about 110 to 120 miles. Decided to ride until nearly out of fuel so as to establish my tank range. Yesterday took a blast to Plymouth and back in the sunshine, average speed with occasional ...

Re: Carb confusion

Wow thanks for prompt and detailed reply. The bike is completely standard, standard pipes air filter etc. all I can think has caused this is changing from old dirty standard filter running rich to a new clean standard filter causing it to run lean. Will a dyno run help determine exact diagnosis. Do ...

Re: Southwest get together.

A realistic ride out has to be less than 100 mile round trip or its gonna cost an arm and a leg in fuel. How many who are interested are in Devon or prepared to travel a bit first. Mister Stu suggested Exmoor way, can confirm the roads and scenery are fab up here especially towards Lynton, Minehead ...

Re: Carb balancing

Hi, I got my local bike shop to balance the carbs. Left the bike with them for the day, 2003 Storm. They charged me £ 20.00, very reasonable I thought. Doing it yourself isn't that hard but I would have to buy gauges I don't have. Shop is Ireland's in Barnstaple. Cheers and happy storming!

Re: New Year's Day little ride

New year, new day! I took the Storm out for a quick blast in the New Years Day sunshine, put a grin on my face and made me wish for more dry days. Road was a bit shitty after all the rain' but worth every squirt of the old gals throttle. Out again tomorrow if the weather holds. Happy New year to you...
