Does the 'clunking' noise come from the front cylinder, and only happen when the engine is cold? Try this test, start the bike when the engine is cold, with full choke, it should take gentle revs and be OK i.e. no clunking noise. Now shut off the choke and try revving the engine up to 4000rpm, if yo...

Think the Skidmarx is a copy of the Moriwaki, will try and get a photo later.

Thinking (a bit more), prefer the Skidmarx belly pan, seems to make the bike faster
