Have you considered becoming a salesman? Can anyone recommend which bike recovery company to use ?

Get a nut and bolt the same length as the width of the pipe, put the nut on the bolt and tap it in across the end of the pipe, now get a spanner and unscrew the nut so that it expands the opening. you may need two spanners.
