While putting the bike back together today I managed to strip the thread on the swingarm linkage bolt. No idea how I did it as was torquing it to the Haynes manual recommended!!! It's the one that goes through the swingarm and attaches the triangular linkage for the rear suspension. Has a nut in one...

You'll easily get buyers for all the gucci bits. Strip them off and sell them separately.

Buy cheap standard parts to replace and sell it as standard.

If you can try and avoid selling as it'll cost a small fortune to replace it, but if needs must!!

Finding out it's gonna cost over £650 for my Ducati to get serviced!!!

Ideally I don't want to have the headlight on the bike at all. Saves the possibility of breaking it but also makes it simpler.

A solid colour headlight protector is probably cheapest, or spray your standard headlight the same colour, or last ditch is to buy a cheap spare headlight and do as above.
