Swingarm Linkage Bolt!

While putting the bike back together today I managed to strip the thread on the swingarm linkage bolt. No idea how I did it as was torquing it to the Haynes manual recommended!!! It's the one that goes through the swingarm and attaches the triangular linkage for the rear suspension. Has a nut in one...

Re: Advice on sale

You'll easily get buyers for all the gucci bits. Strip them off and sell them separately.

Buy cheap standard parts to replace and sell it as standard.

If you can try and avoid selling as it'll cost a small fortune to replace it, but if needs must!!

Re: Wets on a track day?

I've sent you a text Lloydie
Think I've got to do it. I still had a great day but can't help but think it might have been better with some proper tyres.

In this country having a choice has got to be a must!

Wets on a track day?

Just done a trackday at Cadwell Park where over 80% of people from the "Novices" to the Fast group were using Wets. Anyone on here got much experience of them? Are they any good? A couple of people came flying past me but most didn't, in the inters group. I need to replace my rear t...

Re: Track bike headlight blank

Ideally I don't want to have the headlight on the bike at all. Saves the possibility of breaking it but also makes it simpler.

What does the Black bit look like?

Re: Track bike headlight blank

A solid colour headlight protector is probably cheapest, or spray your standard headlight the same colour, or last ditch is to buy a cheap spare headlight and do as above. Otherwise buy track fairings that come without the headlight slot Headlight protector sounds good with a few self tappers! :thu...

Track bike headlight blank

I'm slowly turning my bike into a trackbike and have bought a replacement set of plastics.

(the original plastics are almost mint )

Doesn't make any sense leaving the headlight in place so what can i use to fill the gap. Is there something I can just buy?

Yes I am lazy!!

Re: Olivers mount, Spring cup.

I was there getting cold for the whole weekend and it was my first but definitely not the last trip to the Mount! Had a great time and really enjoyed the racing. Saw that awful crash in the penultimate race on Sunday. I think that is the one Partygirl is talking about. Really pleased to hear he was ...

Re: 2015 Trackdays

What a brilliant track Cadwell is. I've done Mallory which to be honest is boring but although I've watched dozens of race meeting there I'd never been round till yesterday. It even better than I thought it'd be!! Can't recommend it enough, though the Novice group was very different to the Novice gr...

Re: My 1st track day - Cadwell Park

Saw someone with a Yellow :silent: Firestorm and had a quick chat with them. They recommended 30 psi in both front and rear, which is exactly what the bloke on the tyre stand recommended. Worked great all day. Had a fantastic time, didn't fall off and felt like I improved just about every session! :...
