Re: Help with idle problem!

Usual cause is an air leak on the inlet.
Tight valve clearance could contribute

With the mixtures get an exhaust gas analyzer and adjust to about 4% co.. Not so easy to do on the twin pipe system but with your 2 into 1 it should work.

Re: Caliper and mounting bolts

don't use copperslip and torque to normal, it'll be too much and the bolts may stretch or snap, infact just don't use copperslip.. I didn't use anything on mine and don't remember there being locktight on the threads to start with, they don't do up as tight as you might think. if you do then use a s...

Re: Tilt cutout switch advice.

Or the fuel cut relay from the bike the pump come off. CBR600 I think, then work out how to wire it in, I'll try and remember to check my VFR manual tomorrow to see how it wires in (same relay as CBR) unless you've already checked Nick ? Looking at a CBR600F4i diagram, https://i.postimg.cc/RW6WF40L...

Re: Rossi with Yamaha is ending.

Vinales and quarteraro have signed for factory Yamaha for 2021/22.. Rossi if he wishes to continue will be offered a factory bike with factory technicians. In a satellite team ?, maybe VR46 team as a player manager type thing ?? Lorenzo is testing right now in an early test for factory test riders a...

Re: Tilt cutout switch advice.

With the fuel pump fitted I need it to stop pumping fuel if the bike cuts out. So all I need is a relay Well no I think you would need a logic circuit and a relay. I cant think of any item, controller, ect that is "powered" only if the motor is running, that could be used directly as a relay trigge...

Re: Devon anyone ? 26th-29th June, need to know by 13th Jan.

I got a few days extension but tomorrow (Friday) I have to pay a deposit of £50 per chalet, I'm going to book 3 and let the 4th go as I don't think we'll fill it... Ideally I'd like everyone who is coming to pay soon as please.. As usual with not knowing total numbers I can't work out total cost eac...

Re: No fuel, tons of smoke, won't start

Agree with Tony.. have a big bucket, once you've drained it all leave it for a few days with no oil filter, no plugs and the filler cap off, this will help the fuel to evaporate. If it was mine then I'd fill it with fresh oil and a new filter, run it for a a couple of hundred miles and then do anoth...

Re: Fork spring shortening

Most replacement springs are not the same length as the originals. I may check the spring weight with a clamp and scales as I cut them. Im not looking to spend any more money on my spare bike. I've fitted quite a few sets of springs to firestorm forks and all have been the same length as standard, ...

Re: Fork spring shortening

I reckon it would be trial and error but for £75-80 you can get k tech springs of with the spring rate you want. Also fork springs have a designed length and storm springs are not long ones to start with.

So far 6 confirmed, if Al comes back with a yes then I can book 2 chalets at a cost of £60 each Any more which will be good and will need to book a 3rd chalet, for this to be cost effective we need at least 9 people and the would cost £70 each, If we then got a 10th person the cost would go d...

Re: Royal Family - Yes or No?

Royal family Yes. But just let Harry go, lets face it most of the world believes he's someone else's son so not even a royal, should have been brushed under the carpet as a small child, sent away to lead a life not as royal but still looked after, it's not his fault after all. If they want to go it ...

Devon anyone ?. 26th-29th June. Need to know by 13th Jan.

Phoned for prices and availability, similar prices to last year, it'll be between £60 and £70 each depending on numbers. I have provisionally booked 4 chalets, this is only held for 7 days and then I need to confirm and either place a deposit or pay in full 3 people per chalet and 4 people in one of...
