Re: GRAINSTORM IV 22nd April 2017.

Looks like a great day as ever, with El Presidente hosting! My Grainstorm didn't go as smoothly as it should have done. Bike excitedly uncovered just after 07:00 and a quick wipe over to ensure it was sparkling. Set off, all well and good until the engine seized on the A249 An anxious few seconds fo...

Re: Logging in

How do you navigate to the site each time? I'm guessing that you are using a shortcut or a saved favorite kink that uses a plain http:// link. When you log in, the redirect will use https:// . It may not seem like a big difference but it is to your browser. The site should only create a cookie asso...

Oil light coming on?

It kept coming on this morning, especially when decelerating, then would switch off under power (from cold) After 10 minutes or so, it went out and stayed out. There are no leaks, no smoke, plenty of clean oil in the engine and it's running absolutely fine. Is the oil sender prone to connection prob...

Re: insurance!!!

As above, sadly it's true.
I'm about a month past the 2 year cut-off point so instead of £120.00/Year I'm now paying £330.00 (Hastings direct via compare the meerkat or one of those other sites)

With Grainstorm drawing ever closer..

and the realisation setting in that I should have left at the beginning of February to make it on time on the Enfield, something had to be done. The morning air was thick with dueling banjos as I nosed the car into Grain yesterday morning to pick up Mac. Then onwards through the morning traffic chao...

Re: GRAINSTORM IV 22nd April 2017.

I'm just leaving now Mac, as long as this wind dies down, and I can clear the Medway towns by the second week of April, I should be with you for Grainstorm

If only I had one of those fast red 'storms :(

Re: Couch to 5K

Yup, just finished it. Last Friday actually was my first 5K :cool2 Never thought I'd be able to run, ever, but have since done another 5K Monday morning and another one today. One little tip, the app assumes you'll be able to run a 10 minute mile which is quite tough going, so once up to week 6, I r...

Re: Textile jackets...

Yes, thanks again Mac, I can report that it was a warm, snug journey last night even in the frequent rain storms

I stopped at around 2:00am and camped under a bush on the grain road, shortly going to resume my journey and hoping to be back home some time in the middle of March :cool2

Re: The Murvmobile

Thanks all! No, no loctite included, but I've been reliably informed that all the nuts and bolts that rattle out get replaced FOC at the first service! I very much doubt it would wheelie, I'm sure it's possible, but not with me at the helm! Sirch, I must admit I'm quite glad it has a disk, I'm still...
