daft as it seems, double check your garage has actually looked at the carbs and made sure they are not loose. have had this problem on a couple of vehicles.
sure sign is drinking fuel, and it will cut out more when its warm.

i think the standard for vtr's out of the factory is 8% give or take.
when ive had the gps going its been 78 on the bike when im actually only doing 70 on gps.
the speedo's are very optomistic :)
