Re: Fuel Consumption RIDDLE?

Just completed a 1600 mile trip through Europe. Various speeds, including a wee spell on the autoban. Around 10 miles to the litre.

Anyone worried about touring shouldn't. Yer butt will need attention before you need fuel.

Cheers...

Re: Fuel efficiency/dependency?

It is a strange thing fuel. I tried the super stuff in mine and she hated it. Runs best on the cheap stuff from super markets rather than the same stuff from BP or Shell. Then again she also does more miles per tank when being thrashed   :problem: :eh: Figure that one out. I do not se...

Re: Operation Storm: Destination Jurasic Coast 2014

Re Scotland trip: Me and my mates have done a tour of Scotland twice in the past few years, the last being last year. To be honest it's best to go right to the top to Durness. Whichever way is planned ie. clockwise or anticlockwise makes no difference. To do it justice it will take around 5 to 7 day...

Re: Cheap Parcel Post

Hi guys...I used to buy a DHL couriers parcel service on ebay. There are loads. It cost around a tenner. Faultless service, a white van man would turn up usually at 11am, and the parcel would always be delivered intact and on time a couple of days later. With Collectplus I take it to a shop, no need...

Cheap Parcel Post

Guys..read a post of how the Post Office charged £14 to send a tyre. That's wild. I recently sold a tyre on Ebay and sent it through Collect Plus for about £5.00. Easy as pie, parcel up your item. Log onto the site which is below. Buy a delivery filling in all the details. Print out a label. Take th...

Re: How to balance your carbs

Hi....just want to say thanks for all the info on this thread. Was a bit wary of tackling this job, but bought some vacuum gauges, followed the notes and it really was as easy as has been said. The cost of the equipment has paid for itself already. Found the carbs were needing to be balanced. Cheers...

Re: headlight lamps

Sorry to hear the HID kit hasn't been ok on the Storm. I had one fitted to a Bandit and my BMW and found the lights on both models to be perfectly ok at night. It must be the reflector in the Storm which is not any good. Glad to hear others experiences though coz I had planned on fitting another kit...

Re: Fuel consumption

My tank I believe is 16 litres being a 1998 model. On a run down the motorway at around 70 - 80 and on a run to a rally on A roads I find my light comes on between 100 and 110. Can't remember now what it takes to refill but it's constant.
