The fuel gauge is only a visual aid to how fast the storm eats petrol. set the trip meter on older bikes or look at the gauge on the newer, doesn't matter, it'll still dissapear as fast, even the newer bigger tank bikes only give you a few axtra miles.

Gericke is known for thier quality (every other bike had someone in the tribal suit last year) but just recently i think they are working to a tighter budget and the stuff they sell seems to be of poorer quality, thiner leather and less padding. CCt's are the Cam Chain Tensioners, one for each cylinder, they seem to have a habit of breaking and hence mangling the engine, its a problem thats not just soley the Firestorms, the Blackbird and some other hondas also suffer from this. Didn't get to the Manx this year, but my neighbour did.

when i went last year the roads were quieter, everything is at a more sedate pace, not as many nutters out to kill themselves and everyone else,the weather is generaly better as well.

i prefered it to the TT to be honest.

I'm also booked up, can't find the ferry reciept but i think i'm going from the 1st till the 11th, will look out for you, might even be able to arrange a meet up, we have enough time to plan something.
