Re: yet another reg/rec question

i used the yamaha r1 4xv model regulator rectifier as did my mate, you can buy the correct molex plug for it too so it looks tidy, the only problem is the heat sink is quite large, it does fit in behind the fairing but you can only use 1 of the existing bolt holes and need to make another.

Re: F2 clock upgrade on a 1998 Firestorm

yep, thats the exact problem, you have to re shape it to miss all the bits inside the tank, i should have taken a photo of it when i finished it, had to cut off about 20mm and move the float up the arm too,its a bit of a pain.

Re: F2 clock upgrade on a 1998 Firestorm

the vfr 750 float can be used in the vtr tank, just takes some cutting and bending to get it to clear all the bars in the tank.

Re: Where is your spiritual biking home?

+1 wi the route 66 carl.. have you seen how much it costs tho? it gets alot cheaper if you can get a big group. i not so keen on harley type things but i would have to do it on a juke box style bike just to fit with the whole holiday. also i like the look of that road in the film "due...

Re: 2nd gear

yeah, i find it clunky to 2nd too. sometimes it changes smooth. all other vtrs ive been on are the same.i got mine to stop doing it by reducing the idle speed but of course with the idle speed being too low it cuts out so i put it back.
