Re: Where is the oil sump drain plug?
Thanks but is there nobody who can just describe where it is and what it looks like? Done 4 PDF downloads, 2 Adobe upgrades and it's getting dark outside now. Re: Best Oil
If I 'DON'T do a total oil change, i.e. if I just top it up, am I best using synthetic or semi-synthetic, bearing in mind I don't know which is in there from the last user. I recall you can either use semi on top of sythetic or the other way around but I don't remember

Re: Which screen do you recommend (or not)
Looking at putting a new screen on mine. The stock one is a bit low. Zero-gravity looks most tempting. Had zero-gravity on my GPZ900R and my ZX10 and they're quality screens. Tough. Stylish. Aero-dynamic.

Tick-Over Screw
New to V-Twins. Where is the tick-over screw on my VTR1000 Firestorm? It's currently ticking over at 1,300 revs and I want to bring it down to 1,000 at tick-over.

One day it's fine, then it's missing and misfiring!
Had a great ride out on Sunday. Come Monday morning (this morning) and she's back firing and missing. Went much better once the engine had warmed up so thought hey ho one of those things. But as soon as I started her up at 5pm to come home and same problem again but worse! Now what could have happen...

Headlight Bulb
OK, I know this isn't exactly a high tech question but I'm the proud new owner of a VTR 1000f and still teething. Dip light has stopped working. No doubt it's the bulb. Are the bulbs H4?
