Carbs, m/cylinder, thermostat housing etc

Found a few spare bits from my VTR in the garage. Carbs - £55 delivered I was told when I bought the bike that these had a dynojet stage 1 kit fitted, but I didn't get round to putting them on the bike, so worth taking that with a grain of salt. Master cylinder - £15 delivered Thermostat housing and...

Re: Ti sheet

You want to get some carbide tools for working on Ti. Carbide burrs will get through it no problem, with a slow spindle speed and plenty of lubricant.

Re: feeler: New billet lower triple + stem

Have you done any FEA on the stem design?
I see that the wall thickness of your 7075 stem is considerably greater than the original steel tube, but the steel is significantly less prone to stress corrosion cracking and fatigue cracking.

Re: Fao travis and/or Mike

I spent the first 15 minutes picking up 2 months worth of dog sh1t, as my housemate doesn't bother, despite me moaning at her. I then spent the next who knows how long cutting 2 months worth of lawn, to then strim the borders. Then I spent an hour or so trimming the bush :shifty: including the neigh...

Re: Fao travis and/or Mike

I put it up for sale primarily to members of the forum that have been here long enough to contribute, and with 50+ posts. If I wanted contact from anyone else I would've put some other contact details on the advert. I'm deeply sorry to tell you that I spent this afternoon taking advantage of the (se...

I'm awfully sorry that I didn't get in touch with you the moment I received the message
Perhaps I was busy, rather than ignoring you out of spite.

Re: Fao travis and/or Mike

They will be once I've got the standard pipes back on. Consider the sale 'on hold' for now. I'll update my For Sale post

Edit: I've got a short day at work today so I'll have a crack at it this afternoon.

Re: Fao travis and/or Mike

I'm having trouble fitting the standard exhausts back onto my Firestorm as they don't seem to line up properly with the original pipes for some reason. I'm working out whether I need to wiggle the downpipes around to get everything lined back up, and in the process make sure that the cans & lin...

Re: Yokes and triples question.

I'll take £100 + delivery for one once they're finished. I can't say when that will be though, as the shop is pretty loaded up at the moment
Anodising will be a bit extra, I'll have to go out for quote first though to find out exactly how much.
