Having just got the price of the seal kit for the master cylinder (not cheap) I'm going to replace the reservoir (it's crazy paved) and the seals between it and the master cylinder. There was an amount of fluid around the join this morning. More news to follow.

Have had a good look at things this evening and there are no obvious leeks from the master or slave cylinders and the pipework looks OK. Points of note, it took an age to bleed the clutch and even now it doesn't feel 100%, I had to do a lot more work pumping the lever than usual. My clutch fluid alw...

Re: Storm's drinking clutch fluid

hate having to fill up twice a day. Dont I know it - I only do half your distance and I hate filling up even once a day! If I take the car for the week, I fill up at the start of the week and thats it - diesel .... 550 miles to the tank! My Mitsubishi FTO gives me 480 - 520 miles on a tank of norma...

Re: Storm's drinking clutch fluid

140 miles a day. Holy crap dude - I'd say half your wages goes on petrol ! The annoyance is having to be selective about filling up with fuel, otherwise it's fill up with fuel, go to Bristol, fill up with fuel, back to West Berkshire, fill up with fuel, go to Bristol, etc. I can't quite mana...

Storm's drinking clutch fluid

Hi all, a question for those in the know. My storm appears to be drinking a lot of clutch fluid. About a month ago riding home from Bristol I developed no clutch. Got home and found no fluid in the reservoir. Filled it up, bled it and all appeared fine. Now today on the run into Bristol I find the s...

It appears that my previous post has gone missing, but hey ho. I don't have the use of a welder at the moment so my first choice of welding a socket to it was out. I tried a few methods. Drilled a hole and tried an eziout. Nothing. Tried a bigger hole and my biggest eziout. Nothing. Two holes, bolts...

Broken crankshaft end cap. Help!

I had a CCT go on Thursday at 37000km :( but it didn't lunch my engine which is good. :) The valve timing did slip significantly however and I had to reset it. Unfortunately, the crankshaft end cap in the alternator housing was in very tight indeed and sheared when I tried to remove it. I just remov...

A little too much history between me and them. They refuse to have one of my other bikes (CR500 road legal supermoto) in their workshop because they don't like it. They wouldn't even do a chain and sprocket change for me. Last time I tried to get an MOT done there they were talking months rather tha...

If you replace the discs I would do the pads too as a matter of course, but that's just me. The wheel bearing thing is difficult to say without "feeling" the bike. If there is side to side movement and everything is tightened up as it should be, then it could well be bearings. If I had any...

More on the parrot front I'm afraid.

Why can't you get any good analgesics in the jungle?

Because the parrots eat 'em all.

Three parrots in a cage. One at the bottom, one halfway up and one at the top. Which one owns the cage?

The one at the bottom. The other two are on higher perches.

Shall I get my coat now or later?
