I had the same problem but one squirt of Halford's electrical contact cleaner sorted out the problem. Invaluable stuff.

Down here in old Royal Berkshire we still nod and wave at other bikers.

Mopeds are a completely different matter though, in general no manners. Almost got killed by one yesterday. My fault for walking along the pavement it would appear.

A few years ago I saw somebody on a big old tourer going round the Robin Hood roundabout in Newbury wearing only shorts and a helmet.

No shoes or socks, gloves or shirt. Just shorts and a helmet. Wrong in so many ways.
