mpg on motorways.

Just a quickie- what kind of mpg/tankrange can be expected with sensible long distance motorway cruising, say at a more or less constant 80 mph with gentle throttle openings? Or in other words, could it be used to commute from Bournemouth up the M3 to Heathrow on a daily basis without buying shares ...

Tis true-we're too busy watching out for butt nuggets in Mondeos about to pull out on us to be nice to other bikers. Not only that, but if you nod at every biker around london, your head would fall off...

The only thing that has ruined everything is the breeding of speed cameras in France now. I used to barnstorm my way down to Spain (16 hours from door in London to door in mid north spain) and would only see one camera. A trip a month ago spotted 3 and I was only in Normandy! Le b8stard...

Hmmm...cops in car doing 115MPH. Sounds quite dangerous to the public to me! And they call it "public safety".! No, no... Over here they can do up to 159mph in an unmarked without lights, and call it 'getting used to the car'. See here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/shropshire/455917...

I've just replaced my Azaro STs on my Duke as the rear got punctured. I had done a genuine 10000 miles on them and although they were barely legal at the front, the rear had another 1000 or more miles to go. A bit square but so's Steven Hawking, but he's gonna take over tha world as Davros soon. Any...

No, this is merely so that you can contribute more into the presedential coffers before they ban you and free up some more congestion figures.
When has this regime ever listened to the masses?

Not always, but check for signs of carbon deposits. My Duke has a clamp that is a bit like a glorified jubilee clip (although, as it's blessed by the Pope, and okayed by the Mafia it will cost 10x more) and this was clamping the pipe where it was split leading up to the rear cylinder. This was leaki...

I've been told by many Ducati sources that big twins like a tipple of oil and it's nothing to worry about unless it goes over 1l per 1000 miles. Bit of a bugger constantly topping up though-would pee me off on an extended trip. I hoped the Firestorm wouldnt drink oil. Is this the norm?

The doom mongers would say that the oil could have absorbed water, but I think the worst of the worries would be due to running without riding, it's a good thing, but no substitute for riding. For the sake of a few quid, you should really change it. Be sure to stick to semi synth or mineral for the ...

Filtering is legal in this country. One thing you can't do however, is to pass the lead vehicle when approaching zig zag lines for a crossing, that is, you must remain behind the car at the head of the queue in this circumstance. As long as you are filtering at a sensible speed, and not straying int...

London eh? That might explain a lot. Your arrogance even extends to classing everywhere that is not London as "the sticks". I'd hardly describe the West Midlands connurbation as an idyllic rural location. I'm a country boy from cow sh1t land darn sarf, but for all my sins am based right s...
