Thank you guys for your kind and flattering comments. I am always happy to help the VTR enthusiasts where I can with honest and reliable information. I share your love of "V" twins since my early racing days on a Vincent Black Shadow and Black Lightening. The VTR was the last Honda road bi...

Re: Cylinder head porting?
Be very careful when porting fully other than cleaning up the rough edges/surfaces. To do a full porting job, which should vary depending on the camshafts you install and the exhaust you are using, I suggest you take expert advice or send the heads to an experienced company used to dealing with &quo...

Re: Couple of problems with my 97 vtr f.
My solution was part of our development program and work perfectly on our race bikes. It took a bit of organizing and I was lucky to have the "contacts" that could do these things for me back in the nineties. I have used Sigma slipper clutches on several models of racing bikes including SP...

Re: Couple of problems with my 97 vtr f.
THERE IS A CURE for clutch snatch off the line under racing conditions but it will cost a fair amount and you have to decide if it is worth it for you. It was for Revolution Racing. Here is the answer to your problem. 1) "Lazer" cut a number (say 6) steel clutch plates out of Spring Steel...

LEARNER BIKE
Hi Guys,
My son in AU is looking to buy a "Starter Bike" so his wife can pass the final part of her AU driving test. The bike he has seen which is permitted under the regulations is a Yamaha MT-03. Does anyone have any experience or suitability of this machine - thank you in advance. Roger
