Looking nice there, I may he wrong, and I am sure someone will say so, but I can remember another thread mentioned that you need to have no paint where the break discs sit on the wheel... or something like that.

Ram type ball mount bodged into the head stock hole. I copied another on here by drilling through a wine bottle cork, ram bolt through that with nut at the bottom, insert into head stock then tighten up.
Yes it could be higher, but does the job.
